CF or body color rear spoiler?

Ok I have an alpine white vert (moonlight top) so originally I was going to go CF rear spolier... but recently saw a body color spoiler that looked pretty nice... I kinda like the black and white look as well with the ragtop and body. Thoughts?

I personally like the contrast of the CF spoiler, especially on white.

IMO, if you're going to paint it you might as well get a replica from eBay or something that's just ABS plastic instead of paying the premium for carbon fiber to just cover it up..

I love the CF. Agree, it really looks good against the white especially if you are considering adding other M performance stuff.

CF is becoming so wide-spread and overused by modders that I say: body color all day, every day! My AW M235i is still 100% stock, but if I ever change / add anything (like the MP diffuser etc) it's gonna be painted AW.

I got a cf spoiler for my aw m235 and really like the look. I have a gloss black vinyl wrap on my roof too, so that and the cf spoiler gives it a sharp and aggressive contrast.

Here's my AW with the CF spoiler. I feel like it finishes out the back of the car perfectly.

Another vote for CF spoiler.

I haven't seen a spoiler on a vert yet. In my opinion it might look a little odd since the third brake light is on the trunk on the vert rather than the rear window for obvious reasons. Therefore the spoiler is going to be right on top of the third brake light. It might look good; I just haven't seen one before!

It will look great regardless!

My 135i had the bmw performance spoiler and the third brake light was also mounted on the trunk.

There's always the option of painting the spoiler and do some exposed cf. not that I would but you'll have both of what you want lol

To me, "contrasting" is a charitable way to describe tacked-on, sort of J.C. Whitney style. There is a point about covering up the cost of CF, but the material is what it is...not a reason to make the car look less integrated. Here's the MPerformance rear spoiler done in monochromatic style....looks like it was always part of the design.

Those are the originally-blue MSport calipers as part of the Track Handling Package. I asked the dealer to paint them Valencia Orange to match the car prior to delivery, and they were glad to do that...also had the black mirror caps painted VO at the same time (although they use a different formulation paint than calipers do). I then got new MSport decals on Ebay and finished off the MSport brake look back to original, but with color-matched calipers.

Here's another view from delivery day in their new car showroom....

Yes....they are 17x7.5...I needed to give up 18" which came with the Track Handling Package as I live among the craters of the moon, otherwise know as the roads of Michigan. The BBS are the SR model and they clear the MSport calipers (obviously!).

I quite like the CF spoiler, especially with black grilles, dark wheels and CF mirror caps.

I have to agree with the black grill and carbon fiber mirrors and spoiler....its what I've done to my car and it looks amazing and always get compliments on the white/black contrast.

Thanks for all the input! OK, going with the CF Spoiler, had originally planned that as I like the CF mirrors,Black top, and black grills as contrast against the alpine white. Now, which one to get....
