Front lip Installed

This is an affordable (made in China) eBay front lip spoiler I purchased a few weeks ago. Had it painted to match and wrapped in clear paint protective film. Meyers body shop here in Winnipeg did an outstanding job. I installed it myself with 10 stainless self tapping screws and 3M double sided tape. The lip is a bit flimsy in the centre so I strengthened it. For some of the guys on this forum who had mentioned they had the same issue, I came up with a simple solution. Went to Home Depot, purchased a 1/8 inch thin 3 ft long by 5/8 inch wide flat aluminum rod, cut it in half and 3M taped it to the bottom of the centre section of the lip. It's now very sturdy and will not bend when driving at high speed. No one can tell it's there to boot....When alls said and done the cost for my lip was about $500 and 2-3 hours of my time to install.

Looks good man. Fit looks pretty good from here. Did it take alot of work to get it to sit properly? Is that the JC Sportline Hamann style lip? I've been so tempted to get that lip in c/f.

Do you happen to have a pic from slightly further away?

Been raining here for two days, I'll try and get more pics soon. It took me about two hours to install by myself. Fits great but it took some patience to get it lined up properly and secured into place. Yes it's a Hamann replica for 1/4 the price lol.

I thought Hamann doesn't even make a lip for the F30 Sport. I figured this was just in their "style".

No idea, but thats what they call this particular style. For the price I'm satisfied. I was gonna buy the Kelleners Lip but it was over $600 shipped. Other high end German manufactured front lips can run over $1000. After talking with other members both here and on Bimmerfest I gave it a shot. I took a small gamble ordering this but once I test fitted it on the car before painting I was surprised how well it fit.

My body shop said they'll never paint or work on a made in China BMW aftermarket spoiler ever again. It gave them a bit of trouble but they went above and beyond and did an outstanding job painting and wrapping lol!! This is the middle section of the lip. I could only get part of it from underneath.

Ahh ok awesome. I'll look for something like that for mine.

Although the lip is a subtle addition it really changes the look of the car! So glad I went with the H style

Strengthening it will help when driving at high speed. Go to Home Depot and buy this aluminum Rod. Measure, Cut two pieces, then grind the side you want to affix underneath the spoiler, that way the 3M tape will stick to it better. I just drove 1500 miles round trip on the interstates and the lip didn't move or warp....good luck
