Alternator belt/idler pulley failure on M4

See my post under the track/autocross section.

The idler pulley in my 2015 M4 failed, and took out the alternator belt, while on-track. Appears to be a potential issue popping up among a few cars. I have 12,000 miles on the car.

BMW repaired (entirely) under warranty.

I have not seen this on any other cars, where are you getting that info?
