What car will the M2 replace for you?

My garage only has room for one fun car so I officially put my e92 M3 up for sale. Hopefully, this will only be a financially poor decision but that's always been the case for me. I crave variety, new tech and the M2 is the only ///M car that I'm currently interested in. I do expect it to perform on par or better than the e92. I know it'll have a different character but that's not necessarily a bad thing, actually something I look forward to. I'm just hoping for a lateral or better move in the fun factor.

What car are you guys looking to replace or is the M2 going to be an addition?

You'll be back in an E9x!
I'm not replacing anything, I'm adding to these 2 (and a beater 4Runner):

The way I see it, they will be all quite different from each other. The M2 will be the first and probably the last car I buy new. Next step would be a Porsche in the very very distant future. Would have loved a Cayman of some kind, but they are out of my budget.

My 08 Mazdaspeed 3. Great little hatch for being in my 20's but ready to upgrade to a big boy car as the M2 will be my 30th bday present to myself.

The M2 will be a great little car for whipping around the city.

Cool, hey I've owned a few of those! Nice progression! I'm sure you'll be glad to get back in an ///M.

It's replacing nothing really. I'm getting rid of my X1, but the M2 won't be replacing it. The beater car I buy will replace the X1, the M2 will supplement said beater car. Anyone have any suggestions for a beater car? Must be AWD and a car. Something reliable and cheap to fix/run.

Depends on your budget really, but if you want a true beater that's cheap to replace, Japanese is the only way to go. I've got a 97 4Runner with 300k miles on it

Only gets used when the dogs need a ride haha

I'd prefer a car, but the only good Japanese AWD car is a Subaru, and they tend to hold their value here. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I'd rather not pay more than about 8 grand. I'm looking at some FWD cars too, they're not bad in the snow.

If AWD is not an absolute must, I'd look at a Honda Civic and Accord, or Mazda3 or 6 personally.

The M2 will be my wife's car. It will take the place of her 2007 Mini S. Oh yeah... she is north of 60.
