The second to last pic is really nice.
On an unrelated note, I'm going to head to the dealership to test drive a black M235i with 6MT and all M-Performance goodies. I figure that's the closest thing I can drive that's close to an M2

Why does the owner of the photo have to put the ridiculous logo right in the middle? Good lord - put it off to the side so we can see the damn thing. With that being said, the back tires and end generally look wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide - which is a serious downfall of my 235. Very nice.

Posted today, by this link, I think. When they were taken is not clear. In any event, the mule is an old one, seen many times in the last few months.
http://www.autogespot.com/bmw-m2-coupe-f87/2015/06/23 I'm guessing the youngest mule and closest to production configuration is this one. It's the only one I've seen with what appears to me to be a camo'ed M2 badge on the trunk lid. Slim evidence, I know, but the size looks about right. http://www.bimmertoday.de/2015/06/17...arousel-105621 |

- Brake pedals are way too soft, especially after jumping out of my E36 which has delrin bushings for the pedals - 6MT felt more rubbery than normal? Throws also seem longer compared to the F80? - M-Performance for the price is a bloody joke. - Car had LSD which was nice to play with - Power was fine Either way, still love the M235i, although this one was $56k This was about as close as driving an M2 as I could get for a while, and I like it a lot

When I drove a friend's E92, it felt heavy and slow until the RPM hand crossed the 3.5k range at which point things became intensely exciting The M235 felt "different" as in a tad lighter and more apt to accelerate. |

These E9x M3's aren't as slow as most people think. It'll be a pretty different driving experience, so that's kind of how I could justify having both. Not sure how helpful that was

I'm waiting for a solution to the rubbery throw of the shifter. Hopefully someone is working on that now. Otherwise, I'm in heaven with my M235i. For all the guys that have the patience to wait for the M2, you're going to reap a rich reward. |

Go E92 if: - Want one of the very best (and last) NA engines made by BMW - Sound - A bit more room and comfort - You are OK with DIY'ing because there's no warranty left, or only a couple of years - OK with bad fuel economy Go M2 if: - Better brakes and handling, although probably less feel - Compact size (again, I think it's perfect. E92 is on the big side) - Warranty - Easier to drive as a DD aka torque - Less weight Personally, I could never part with the E92. Been offered by so many people to buy it and my answer is always not for sale. Thus why I have add the M2. What a dumb hobby Quote:
Good call on getting the LSD though. That car is a blast with that option

I don't remember the 8AT having that kind of dead zone in the brake pedal.

That is the area in which the M2 will really distinguish itself, IMO...

+1. Researching short shift kits available. A friend ordered one recently and waiting to get his feedback. And oh yes.....LSD is the cats meow!
