My engine has spun rod bearings. I replaced with a factory rebuilt long block. I am willing to part this one out or sell complete for $4000.

More info would help here. Did motor lock up? Did you shut it down right away when it started knocking? still drive it, etc?

Motor spins. As soon as I heard knocking, I shut her down. Probably ran 30 seconds with knock.

Actually the shop that replace the engine did have to run the engine again to diagnose as well.

How many miles on it? 4k for a long block is a lot if it needs a new crank.

47900 miles on the block.

stroker crank or OEM new crank ($2500 or better) I have an account at BMW and will pass on the deal to you for a new crank if wanted.

Agree 4k on long block with damaged crank is too much. Custom stroker cranks are 4k. So assume your 4k price, factory crank at 2.5k, gasket set, TTY replacement bolts, and head gaskets at 2k, 700 for factory bearings, or 1k for factory mains + Clevite rod bearings, plus labor at 2.5k. A 50k mile motor now costs 12k...and that's not even replacing any pistons. And the buyer takes all the risk of needing to replace the oil pumps if any metal shavings are found. $12k is way too much regardless of mileage and risk.

I'll make you an offer in a pm, but it won't be 4k.
