RW Carbon gear selector cover

Has anyone fitted one of these? Mine just arrived today and the cf quality is beautiful, lots of depth to the weave.

Not sure how to remove the old one and fit this though.

It's pretty simple, but a bit tricky at first. The gear selector is actually screwed to the shifter. You have to gently pry off the gear selector plate (P N D etc) and then you'll see a small screw. I think it's a phillips, but not 100% sure. In any case, you'll know when you get that gear plate off.

Once the screw is off, the change is easy. Don't forget to put the screw back after switching to the new CF selector! Also, not sure if your new CF selector came with any double sided tape but you might need some when re-installing the new one.

Thanks for the instructions. I figured it must be something like that from looking at the new part. I just didn't want to pry off the plate and risk damaging it only to find it wasn't necessary

The new one did come with an installed die cut adhesive layer ready. Very nice quality, I would recommend it to anyone wanting a real cf replacement.

Hey, that looks good. I see you're running the Torque app (I think). I'm using that as well. For the price of the adapter and the full app, lots of info to be had (incl. coolant & oil temps!).

Thanks. Yes, it is the Torque app. I like it for oil and water temps but the turbo / intake are fun to watch, so is the fuel rail pressure (not sure if its correct, crazy high!).

I was hoping for a better place to mount the 'phone but that's the best I could do. Not bad even for Google maps etc.

Here you go (assuming your phone is Android). I don't know if it's available for iOS or Windows phones though, sorry.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...l.torque&hl=en

And the OBDII adapter (so many to choose from, but this is the one I have)

Wow! I just realized that! In that case I will order one, I already have your mirror covers and the spoiler and Im really happy with them.

Does your future plans include selling more cf trims for the interior? Like the m performance trim parts?

Okay great Unfortunately we do not manufacturer CF interior trim pieces besides the small gear covers and steering wheel trims. The full trim kits are very hard to manufacturer to fit correctly. The only option is for us to buy the OEM parts and cover them in CF, but at that point they are as much as the OEM CF kits.

I was recommended this for use with track apps. Haven't used it yet.
