Is it the full door or just the interior panel? That's pretty sick.

EDIT: Looks like the full door. Maybe a reason to get a black M.

Full door from my sources. I will have access to priceing in a week or 2 from my distributer I will post them up.

Also if you will be interested in any of these parts by Ericsson let me know, I am in the proccess of setting up sales with them in California bay area. But I do have to warn you its not cheap. I think they quoted 3.5k+ for exhaust and that was just a guess.

Although the carbon doors look good I dont belive they are street legal in Califnornia and most states but you would have to look that up in your law book.

I may have to take this back as well as I dont have the specs for the doors yet. they might be reinforced well enough to be legal.

Those are not CF doors they are CF interior door planels. The outer door surface and bulk of the door remain steel.

Also, like I have said time and time again the use of CF in a non engineering type of application, i.e. cosmetic as opposed to using it for superior stength to weight or stiffness to weight applications is entirely poser. JMHO.

CF hood, can you say ricer, ugh. At least the door panels look OK.

I think your right I was mistaken by the door jam reflection. Although I dont doubt they will come up with a full carbon fiber door. I'd never buy them, but thats only because I know what it feels like what you hit something from the side at 30mph +. Thank god for the steel doors and for the car being a M3.

I like the door panels. The hood from manufacturer is already light. Why use a carbon fiber hood?

Where are Ericsson from? Why would they use a right hand drive car as a demo?

Do the CF interior door panels result in weight reduction? I doubt they do...What type of material are they replacing exactly? Plastic? If there are no weight savings, I agree with Swamp.

The hood is over the top. Isn't it aluminum to begin with?

If they started replacing some steel parts with CF parts, I'd start seeing the benefit, but most steel parts in the car are probably steel for structural reasons, and it would be expensive to make CF replacement parts that can handle the stresses. I think the external door panels are steel, so there might an opportunity to save some weight there, but then you'd need to paint them and all that. (The external steel door panels should not provide any significant structure in a crash by the way. There are beams within the door that do that.) If I remember correctly the fenders are plastic?

nice but all overpriced to the fifth degree. I'm sure that exhaust will not be worth 9K. Just wait for Eisenmann, Supersprint + various othes to have cheaper, less gaudy, better sounding systems.
