Why do VW protect their cars better than BMW?
This is just a bog standard Polo that I spotted at a local dealership, it's a full car cover, made of material, taped at the seams, zipped up and little zippered openings for things like doors and fuel filler. BMWs just ship with a piece of vinyl on the roof and bonnet if you're lucky! Why does a Polo that probably cost less than half of most of our cars have so much more protection than ours?

Both VW and Audi use these, it's that Condom look.
What else would you put a Condom on.... The main problem with car covers is they can actually damage paint more than without. Imagine a bit of grit under one in the bonnet area... Probably ok with smaller box shaped cars. |

One would assume these covers are applied in the factory straight after manufacture to prevent dust/grit from causing issues. |
