How old your battery?! Old battery, loss of starting capacity so starter refuses to turn over.

Does dead battery lock the key fob in place? I bought the car a year ago and had zero starting issues so not sure if it is still original.

If you are going to try to jump start it don't use the contacts from the battery. Use the contacts that are in the engine bay so you don't mess up any electronics.

Car started and has not failed to start since then. It does however have an Electronic steering lock error that I cannot remove.....

What have you done to further troubleshoot the issue?
Have you even put a volt meter on the battery after letting it sit overnight?

Did it start working again and than through wishful thinking you just left the issue hanging about and hope it went away?

Its ultimately your car and your mode of transportation, help us help you.

Been traveling so just getting back. My facts thus far are battery was fine including cold winter and Cobb install...never a hesitation crank. Detailer had key fob in ignition with doors open for an extensive time while cleaning the entire interior.

The electronic steering lock error was there before we jumped it and has been there since. Part of the verbiage says vehicle may not start..blah blah.

So my theory is during cleaning the interior, is it possible to activate or damage the steering lock and that is the culprit?

So thinking out loud in an attempt to help you help me.

Thx in advance!
Srb
