Ive got $1,200 bucks to spend

My car (2011 E90 xDrive N55) is mostly stock. Just have tints, Alpina TCU flash and some other coding options enabled.

I have $1,200 to spend on my car and just want to know some opinions as to what others would do in my shoes.

Some things I have in mind are:
- PE Mod with new exhaust tips
- Cobb AP
- JB4
- Burger N55 Stage 1
- Intake
- Charge Pipe
- BMW PE
- M Steering Wheel with retro paddle shifter
- Dinan lowering springs

Obviously can't do all this with my budget. But what combo would you all go for?
Any other suggestions I am missing?

Downpipe is out. I wish it weren't but the trouble with changing it in/out each year is too much of a PITA.

Would the general consensus be that you need a charge pipe for a tune?

Also trying to not stray out of scope, looking to do whatever I do on $1,200.

IMO, the sound and performance gained from the downpipe make it 100% worth it to swap out each year. I was able to find a reputable muffler shop that can do it for $130 per swap. If you don't want a DP then do the PE mod instead. The stock charge pipe is plastic and could blow even with stock boost. If you get a tune you'll definitely want to replace the charge pipe at the same time.

I have the exact same car, with the exact same mods, plus PPK1 and where I would spend my $1200 would be a suspension setup. New with shocks/springs combo or used kwv1.

Sounding like any tune I should get charge pipe. Drivability and reliability are extremely important to me. If charge pipe is the only likely thing to go (besides a fuel or water pump), the weakest link so to say, it should go hand in hand with a tune.
The thing shying me from the Burger piggy back option is the effort to install and remove. I know I can do it, but am I willing to always go through the process before any BMW covered maintenance to be preformed. Obviously this process impacts my chance of doing downpipes. I'd totally do them if they could stay.

This all being the case, I am really just looking for a mild tune. Something like the BMW PPK, or perhaps a little more. So I guess I am really just looking for a reliable stage one.
The Stage 1 tune has my attention as I don't think I would get the full benefit from the JB4. The only thing I could see myself doing with the JB4 is E85. Maybe an intercooler and DCI.

Any experiences good/bad with the Burger Stage 1?

The Dinan springs and stability kit look mighty tempting. The slight drop with improved handling I feel would make the car, which is already fast stock, into a faster feeling ride based on its increased stability and handling.

Engine reliability unchanged which is a plus.

Hope you're still not on RFT. If so, ditch them and get a set of Michelin PSS.

Don't waste your time or money on stage 1, it's extremely outdated. I would not recommend the PPK either since the Cobb costs the same amount of money. With the Cobb you will get more features, customization and power than PPK hands down. I would also go with the Cobb tune if you are worried about the JB4 install. But then will need to leave room in your budget for a proper pro tune. Do you have e85 available where you live?

JB4, FMIC, CP.

Just a tad over budget with a top of the line FMIC but you can get all three for under $1200.

Used Cobb V2, Charge pipe/BOV and VRSF intercooler. U come in at 1350.00 which is slightly above your budget but the E90 is transformed!

Lots of great options! Seems the answer is to screw the budget and go FBO. Lol
Not yet.

First impressions seems if I go time I should go cobb. Now if I go cobb do I need a pro-tune? Does this mean Jb4 needs no pro tune and the cobb will need it?
If I go Cobb id buy used.

If I go with a tune the consensus seems to be a charge pipe is needed.
Blow off valve is irrelevant since I am N55.

The exhaust side has be hung up because one thing I am slightly unhappy with is the sound when I get on it. I do wish I had a bit more sound from it. But no DP and no total muffler delete. I want to maintain a refined sound.

Steering wheel has me caught up too since I don't have paddle shifters and wish I did. Adding those and an M3 wheel would be pretty sweet with Alpina tune.

I love my wheel and the exhaust will add zero power. you want to sound fast or be fast? in N54 it's juicebox all the way. IDK however for N55.

I know. See the thing is that the 335 is already a pretty quick car. I know it can be faster and I have no issue with it going faster, it would be welcomed and likely in the future.
Reason for exhaust is purely for sound. I have no HP expectations which is why I feel it's best suited to do just the PE mod rather than the PE itself. The cost benefit is just not there.

For DD applications. Is the intercooler really worth it? Is it worth it if I don't do DP?

It's a supporting mod. With it, you can run more boost on a protune.
