New to BMW - bought used E90 335i 2007
Hi everyone
Love the forum ive learnt so much reading. Previously I had a Merc C300 2009. My new ride is a E90 335i 2007. My first impressions were the handling and power were simply awesome and would never go back to Merc again unless it was an AMG. Initially i preferred the interior of the C300 the controls seems to be a bit more ergo and easier to get around but i think it was just adjusting to the BMW layout. I plan to keep it for a long time. Its a SGM colour, sunroof, Logic 7 stereo yay!, 193 wheels, Msport package, comfort access, and no HPFP issues to date (fingers crossed it stays that way!). Mileeage is quite high 125,000km / 77K miles but it was a good deal. Upgrades im planning are: - JB 4 - DCI - FMIC - M3 front suspension refresh - KW V3 coilovers or Eichbach springs / FSD shocks (see my other thread) - Blackline tail lights - Convert ashstray to sunglass holder with iphone hookup - Tints Ill post some pics as soon as I have detailed it. It was pretty grubby when I bought it. Peace! |

Hello there!
Like you, I just purchased an 07 335i albeit in the E92 chassis. Mileage was at 45k miles however there have been a few tired parts which had to be replaced. Water pump and vanos solenoids to name a few, along with a new battery. I have to agree on the power delivery though, it has been nothing short of excellent. Welcome aboard! |

Welcome and congrats on the pick up! Definitely post some pics!
I would also look into a charge pipe with the mods you're doing, the stock one is pretty weak and can blow out with higher levels of boost.

Mods are fun, but a car that runs right is even better! Make sure you are ready for a few hiccups, tuned the car likes to go through plugs rather quickly, stay on top of fluid changes and you should be golden, 125 000km is nothing! People have been getting 200k miles!
Welcome and enjoy! |

I just checked my plugs and they look good, been running cobb stage 1+ tune for 20k miles. Im not sure what you mean about plugs going rather quickly.
