car stalled
hi my 328i stalled today at a stop light. it turned on immediately. no error codes. any ideas on what happened? car is around 36,000 miles.

Did you scan the DME for shadow codes?

Have code checked, it can be a lot of different things. Most common issue for stalling w/o code and restart w/o issue after is Vanos solenoid. There are errors stored in the internal computer that do not show in the dash, have them checked, they will help a lot.

Try cleaning the VANOS solenoids.

People have said to use compressed air, MAF sensor cleaner, electronics cleaner. I think I used brake cleaner on mine but I don't remember.

Battery recall
Check your vin on the BMW recall site. I know there is a battery positive cable recall that can cause electrical issues and stalling out. Probably not but worth to check it out.
