Need help making a decision on an exhaust

I know this is not the right section but I had an e90 335i before it got totalled and so I decided to get myself into a super nice stock unmolested low mileage e46 m3. I just love the way this car feels on the road but I need to go turbo. I love this forum and don't feel like starting from scratch elsewhere so I just want some opinions on an exhaust setup. I will be investing in the maximum psi stage 2 turbo kit for this car very soon.

I'm really struck between two exhausts. The bimmer world 3.5" street/race exhaust which mounts to section 1 right after the OE resonators(still very loud) or the maximum psi 3" exhaust.

Let's start with the bw 3.5" exhaust.

What I like:
Sounds aggressive
Saves 55lbs over stock
It's 3.5" which is great for a turbo setup
Has a race like aggressive look with the bw diffuser

What I don't like:
Might be to loud but I'm not sure if I will hate or love it
It's a single exhaust instead of the quad tip OE one

Total price: $1800 with the bw diffuser

Now the max psi 3" exhaust

What I like:
Retains the traditional quad tip m3 exhaust form
Sounds good

What I don't like:
Does not look very aggressive, might just be me?

Total price: $1600

I honestly love both but I can't seem to make a decision. my budget is under 2k and it can't be smaller than 3"

Not used to seeing a single-sided exhaust on an e46 M3. Bored in class so I can't listen to the videos right now, but I'd go for the first one if you're going turbo.

You should check Filthy Habits Fabrication (I think his name is Jay), he goes by xfilthyhabitsx on instagram. You can find videos and pictures on his IG. If you dont have instagram you can contact him at filthyhabitsfabrication@gmail.com.

He just started building an insane valvtronic exhaust for the e46 M3. You can request whatever style of tips you want and it comes with a wireless key fob for the valvtronic system that allows you to go from muffled to wide open straight piped ear bleeding exhaust that sounds incredible. Dont hold me to this, but if I remember correctly it will be around $1500.

My old boss referred me to him back when I was living in Buffalo for a custom exhaust. Other things came up so I never was able to have him do any work for me, but I would be more than confident with him and plan to do so in the future when money permits.

Honestly - neither. Inline 6 motors in general don't sound all that good, so loud exhausts just make a bad situation worse.

SounDS like you need to get yourself into a different car. I had a FBO 335 and sounded decent. Not gtr sexy sounds but it was nice.

This sounds good to me

My ears are tuned to something much better sounding. Here are cars I have spent significant time around:

Best friend's Vette (long ago 381 N/A LS1 setup...supercharged with a whole different motor setup now - same exhaust though):

My Formula (many years ago), before it became a project car:

My other close friend's Camaro, a couple years before he took it apart to build it into a single turbo setup. Very much a street car (and setup to hook on the street, otherwise its strip performance would be better):

Examples of a GEN-III, GEN-II and GEN-I SBC. Or I could post up random YouTube links of V8 and V12 Ferraris, V12 Lambo's, BBC, Modular and SB/BB Fords, old school Mopars, (I can keep going)...all which sound WWAAAYYY better than the BMW Inline 6's.

^^^^ than go buy an american car? if you like an amercan v8 than sell ur bimmer or buy an e9x m3. i love the sound of my car and it will be even sexier with a turbo. sure it may not sound like a v12 or a ferrari but its unique in its own way.
