Easy just plug and play. Just make sure the connector are full seated in the ecu.

Would recommend doing research. That way you get an idea of how to get the most from the tune.

Install is easy, plug and play. Watch the tutorial and it'll give you step by step instructions on how to install. If you're stock, run maps 1 & 5.

Just take your time and do everything slowly and meticulously. No reason to rush through it and ruin something what's going to cost you a lot more in the long run.

It's pretty straight forward though, read the instructions a few times and watch the youtube video before installing just so you have an idea of how things are going to be. I just did mine a few weeks ago and it was pretty easy, just took my time and loved it afterwards!

As of right now yes stock, but planning to get downpipe soon. And one more question comes to BOV do I have to upgrade that too or just leave it stock. By the way the car is a 335i sports shifter

Welcome to the forum
Sounds like you have done some research seeing you are installing JB4 etc
FYI you may need to change spark plugs, coils and replace the stock plastic charge pipe with an aftermarket charge pipe.
The JB4 tune puts strain on the ignition system which can lead to misfires etc if your spark plugs and coils are old, the extra boost can cause the plastic stock charge pipe to fail or the diverter valves to leak (and you dont want bits of plastic charge pipe in your turbos)
Good luck with the install......

Unplug the battery 1st... Let the car sit for 15min before you mess with the ECU

Your first mod shouldn't be the downpipe, but the chargepipe. It will blow on you.

Finally install my jb4 and I did all by myself. It wasn't so bad. Lol. But am enjoying it but I think I need to replace my plugs because my maintenance engine soon came on and the car misfired. Thanks guys.

Now I heard that you can adjust ur exhaust with jb4 is this right or wrong?

take your time , follow the installation guide step by step and do not force install anything. If it is not plugging then your are doing it incorrectly.

Its pretty intimidating at first. JUST DONT BREAK ANY CONNECTORS IN THE ECU BOX! Take your time for sure.

Haha once you do it once, it becomes pretty routine.

You can turn CAN flap ON which will make your exhaust louder. For the N55, it is 4-5 in the settings. I'm not sure about the N54.

Speedo on 40/Tach on 5 will keep the butterfly valve in the driver side exhaust tip open at all time and produce a louder noise

Put the Speedo on 10/Tach on 1 to read the codes so you know exactly why your check engine light came on...

Print these two sheets and keep them in your car...

Get the charge pipe asap. The stock one is pretty weak and will snap on you soon. Takes about 40min to swap the charge pipe for a first time DYI.
