DIY OSS style quad projectors and Angel Eyes
DIY Projector write up
First I'd like to thank all the previous DIY headlight write-ups and authors as they were invaluable for my planning and execution of this complicated project. These are just a few of the DIY's I used: HEADLIGHT DIY's http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=750486 http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=847884 http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=739301 BUMPER REMOVAL http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...Y+front+bumper The project is finished I just need to organize my pictures, thoughts and steps w/options and put them into this DIY... I will be loading new images over the next few days so please be patient. Last edited by Gpeck14; 04-09-2015 at 12:30 PM.. |

The picture above is my headlight "surgical" table prior to their removal. Once the headlights were removed and opened I used E46 projectors with D2S bulbs in place of my cornering lights. A few other options I added while I had the headlights open were: colored LEDs (Devil eyes), Angel Eye rings 110mm and 90mm and ZKW-R lenses.
In the picture below I added the H3 cornering bulbs back in to retain this function in the new projector housing...(I thought this was a pretty cool idea!!) Last edited by Gpeck14; 04-08-2015 at 06:16 PM.. |

Once I was happy with the new projector fitment I had to decide on the projector shroud and placement of HID Ballast and LED control box. Below is a picture of the Projector Shroud "Gatling Gun" that I purchased from The Retrofit Source.com

How do you change the color of the lights? Do you have a little remote?

The lights are connected to my iPhone 6 through Milight app. Or I can use a remote that came with my system. I guess that I could make them alternate if I sync each set of lights to a diffrent remote. However, I want them to operate together and somehow I feel like you are being sarcastic...It's ok I do have a sense of humor. I did it really just for show and never activate it while driving.

can you show about how it lights up for the quad projector at night? Did you wire up the inner projector with the low beam plug? which I believed is number 2 and 3 plug.
Nice work! |
