Bye bye 435i :(

Well today was the day I waved goodbye to my lovely 435i, but said hello my my shine new 116i

Feels strange having 0 power and getting in and out of a feather light door as am use to big heavy 3 door cars although I got a nice surprise by the Bluetooth audio!

Already bought some full black grills as the chrome is already annoying me, also rear tints need to be added

Here's some quick snaps off my phone

A new old shape car? The more I see the new 1 series the more I like it. Congratulations on your new car!

Did your old car sell privately in the end?

Man you must be pissed.

I feel it for you.

Look at the bigger picture, it's just for a little while.

Hi Lewis, I had a 116 loaner last year and it was a hoot (never driven a 435 so can't compare). Do you mind me asking what prompted you to change? Apologies if you have already discussed it elsewhere.

The 0 deposit deal was for pre lci stock cars, which doesn't bother me as it's still the same car basically

I had 9k in my 435i so wanted to get as much of it back out as I'm going to save for a house again, so I seen the 0 deposit deal on the 1 series, so I bit the bullet and changed sad but good times!

I Bet you will really enjoy it, I did my 1 series (although it was a 125d so was a bit quicker!)

Priorities are in the right order buddy, I wish you well on the house front, am in the same boat as you!

Makes sense, didn't realise BMW were doing a zero deposit deal, did they make a contribution? Take it they are not generous enough to do a zero percent deal?!

Yep there was 1500 contribution and then money off the car too, luckily it was 6.something, Apr, which is better than my previous 9.8% finance!

I use to have a 114i and it wasn't to bad so this is a little quicker but not near the 435i, but am sure I will get use to it soon hopefully within a year I'll have a house an look back thinking I did the right thing

Which dealer did you go with in the end? Did you manage to chip anything off the £300/month deal?

9.8% APR??

You made the reverse move to me lol. I jumped out of a F20 116d Sport to F36 435i M Sport. Can't say I'd ever go back... The power is addictive.

What I do miss is the nimbleness of the 1er and being able to throw it into a corner. Feels a lot heavier does the 4er.

Anyhow, looks great buddy - I'm sure it'll be pleasant for the next few years til you get a house.

The 1 series is a great car to drive. My wife has had 2 120d M Sports and I loved driving them. I never feel I'm slumming it when I drive it instead of my 335d. Sure it's not as quick but it's a nice handling car.
I must admit I love the look of the new model too. I think BMW have really got some lovely designs at the moment.

Nothing major as i wanted to keep cost down, so just comfort pack for the front and rear PDC

Halliwell Jones Southport , and unfortunately not as i was getting way over what i should be getting back off my 435i so i cant complain, the main goal was to get as much money back out the car so happy with the deal in the end, although they are looking into getting me the BMW golf bag for £80

Let me know how you get on with that. Quite fancy one myself but the prices are ridiculous.
