anyone know what this is for in regards to installing the m performance front splitter? is it absolutely necessary for installation?

It's meant to cover the blank space between the lip and the grills. Basically if your car is white and you keep splitter black you'll see a little white line where your splitter ends and the vents begin, this blacks it all out.

If you bought MG or black you don't need them
