ACS spring fitting instructions

my dealer is making a bit of a meal fitting the ACS springs.
it has taken them longer than expected, blaming the adaptive suspension on the car as a reason / complicating factor, meaning it has taken them longer than expected and meant I I didn't get it back today as they need to keep it overnight to finish the job, KDS the car and do the headlight adjustment.
I know there is a ACS fitting guide linked on here somewhere but I'll be dammed if I can find it!
can anyone post a link to it? Lorcan? Tengocity?

I just want to have it before I collect the car tomorrow in case there is any excuses for the extra time.

I asked the question whether there was any extra cost as a result of the extra time required and the answer was no as I had a quote agreed.

Shouldn't make a difference. Mines got adaptive and dealer didn't say anything about extra time required. Had KDS. And headlight done as well.

Aldo body bits.

The adaptive makes it a really awkward job. The adaptive plug is a right basket to unplug.

The fitting instructions were inside the ACS springs box!

Crossflags had my car for about 7hrs to do full job and the obligatory wash and vac too.

Douglas Park Hillington ordered the springs from Lorcan direct so I have not seen what was in the box (yet).
I dropped it off at 8:30 this morning and got the phone call with the excuse at 4pm.
not particularly impressed TBH

Nisfan's humour was wasted adaptive non-adaptive, dosent make a difference, it's just a plug on each shock.

Same for me, but I took old springs away in the ACS box and the fitting guide booklet was inside. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Fitting time is 45 AW (3.75 hours) whether it's adaptive or not, x-drive or not. In the box is the springs, printed fitting instructions, ACS3 brochure and a note from me saying to follow the ACS instructions, not BMW, and not to forget to reset the headlights (as has been done more than once). This time includes KDS and is tight, but by no means unreasonable. It doesn't include washing the car though.

It has been known for one or two dealers to ignore the instructions and follow the BMW instructions which tell you to remove the drive shafts and some one-time use bolts. This isn't necessary and 9/10 dealers do it our way and work around the drive shafts in place as per the instructions.

As my other half says, "it's not brain science"

Had my ACS springs fitted today by Revolution Motorsport near Gateshead took about 3hrs (none adaptive shocks) I will be going back next week when they've settled down a bit and I've put my summer alloys back on to have the wheel alignment checked and adjusted if required P.S. with how it feels already !!
