Angry Car park dent

Went shopping with the mrs to birmingham, Parked in the underground multi story car park, I always try and park a little walk away to save the people who drive there heaps of scrap park up right next to you and put a dent in your door, But today it happened to me Found a parking spot on the end against a wall so i reversed my drivers side fairly close to the wall to leave plenty of room if someone did park next to me, Arrived back to the car and found a dent just behind the M badge, Just contacted a local dent guy he said give him a call tomorrow and he will try and have a go at it, Only had the car just over 2 weeks, Some people just have no respect for other peoples property.

This.

You won't be able to tell it from new.

It's so annoying. I found one just in front of the rear wheel arch and I've got a black mark above the other rear wheel which won't come off. I know dings happen but it's annoying nonetheless.

I've got into the habit of memorising the number plates of any car I park next to. Mainly for huge door dents, I wouldn't pursue small ones.

They really piss me off people like that

Whereabouts were you parked in Bham as a few of the car parks there have cctv and may just have caught something and they are obliged to give you a copy of the tape if you contact the system administrator.

Fairly sure the dent guy should be able to make that as good as new. Had worse than that massaged out.

If the paint is undamaged, get a Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) expert to remove the dent. Even if there is slight paint damage, go this route. You don't want a door re-spray for such a small dent/blemish.

You don't have to memorize, you can take a photo with your mobile, however that car you take photo off may leave the car park 5 minutes later and another car park will arrive with a monkey driver/passenger..

There is a small chip in the paint but i will wait for the guy to try and remove the dent tomorrow and i have a genuine glacier silver touch up pen i can touch the chip in after the dent gets removed, Hopefully should be nearly unnoticeable after that

So frustrating but as others have said it should pop out no problem.

I've had mine 3 months and have 3 of these (though admitidally one was completely my fault). Have BMW smart repair insurance (or to be more precise the 3rd party insurance which BMW take a commission on) coming out week after next so will let others know if it was worth the £500 I paid for it.

Noticed one on our audi today - unfortunately they seem to be an acceptable fact of life today! I'd love to catch someone in the act!

Heart goes out to you. It's fixable though.

My car has a mild scratch on the front corner near the side camera that I noticed after a trip to the Supermarket, and a 4 inch gentle dent in the rear bumper that I noticed a month ago. No idea how it got there, but probably from parking at work.

I'll have them fixed by a coach painter sooner or later for about £200. Annoying, but it looks a relatively inexpensive fix, and sadly part of life I'm afraid. Hope you get a simple mend!

Bloody annoying this.

Many moons ago I did catch a woman who did just this to my parents car in a multi-storey in Liverpool. Driver door got flung open causing similar damage. What she hadn't noticed was that I was sat in the car faffing with the minidisc player.

Anyway, I got out and quizzed why she was walking off and at first she point blank denied it!! After a few words she passed on details and I got it sorted at her expense. Muppets with complete disrespect for others property does my head in.....

This happened to a colleague while he was sat in his 4 week old golf GtD which he had from new

He got out and told the woman after what he initially thought was an earthquake registering 8 on the Richter scale shaking his car, to which she denied it.

He then said she should open her door slowly and observe where the door meets his car - perfect alignment. Still denied it. He took her reg as she drove off but don't know how much help police will be

PDR guy said not joy from him as within crease of door and you'll always notice it a bit so he is still trying pursuing twat of a woman as his primary choice

This winds me up no end. Glad yours sorted ok !!
