Interior Update

The brushed aluminum was grating on me so I stumbled across a brand new set of piano black with red trim panel. I was quite surprised to how easy it was to swap. I found the door handle trims to be the most difficult! Really happy with the result! Winters came off also! Woooohooo!!!! Car looks decent again.

That looks great! I remember when i was speccing my car i wanted a red trim panel but there was no option for it! Truely looks great

That does look good, you could only get away with the red stripe if you have red leather imo.

In the 116d sport courtesy car i had it had the same trim, but the black had metal flakes in it, is the F30 sport trim proper piano black then?

Reminds me of my 320d sport. Had the black leather with red stitching to match.

Don't worryabout the piano black it's quite resilient had no scratches on mine after almost 3 years.

Don't normally like that coloured stripe, but with your leather that reds looking very well- good job. I take it passengers touching the piano black is banned on pain of death!

This is pure gloss black, no flakes. My girlfriend has a 116d sport with black and red trim. Hers is metallic and very orange peely!!

Touching the black is banned, yes! Lol!

Another interior thing I wish I specced! Really like the piano black, where did you get all the parts? Are they genuine? I have black seats though so would need the silvery stripe instead of red

Got it all off ebay. £112 posted. Came in all genuine BMW boxes. Guy ordered it all from dealer and then changed his mind.

I too have the piano black with red trim and love it - had several BM's and was getting fed up with the aluminium trim - the only downside is, in very sunny weather it can reflect and on the odd occasion I've had to lay a duster over the centre console.
