Advice sort on car change /winter wheel sale?

Hi Guy. I have a 330d at the moment and im waying up the cost with a change in job and buying my first house. I have found a nice mondeo 2.2 tdci titanium sport

What do you guys think? it will drop my payments by roughly 200 quid a month but it will take me a year to pay off the negative equity il have to pay off with a loan/ credit card. Im roughly 17 monhts from vt point and 31 month to the end of my agreement.

Also im thinking of selling my winters how much would be fair to sell the ones in the pictur below. id say they all have 6 mm trad lef on the and 3 of the 4 wheels have scuffs on them but have been touched um and you cant really see them.

Cheers guys

How much negative equity have you got?
You net saving is probably nominal overall.

Buying the Mondeo to own it, or PCP? If PCP what's the interest rate?

How much is the Mondy? £10k?

The Mondeo is decent drive, HOWEVER, they are a big car.

What extras does it come with?

Hi its up for 13k. Ive got 3 k negative equity and il be looking at keeping it working on a rough estimate to buy and keep the mondeo for 5 years will be 21000 ish and the bm would be around 35k is with refianancing a little bit of the baloon at the end. Its a big saving but i know there could be other costs involved and i keep thinking if i have the mondeo il want to upgrade sooner than if i kept the bm and this could potentially eat in to the 14000 saving. plus the bm will still be work something in say 6years and the mondeo will be worth nothing as it would be 10 years old.

Yeah they. Are nice, white one round corner from me.

Do you need that size car?

Remember to check out drive the deal and also Ford Direct.

Some dealers do pretty good discount on 2nd hand.

Also there is leasing for x years until house sorted etc.

Personally, I would look at 2 year leases.

Works pretty well with mortgage things, gives you chance to try different stuff, also it's a known set of payments for x months.

Personally I'd be looking at every single BMW that passed me thinking 'Hmmm, did I do the right thing' whilst blowing the £200 each month on nothing.

I really like the Mondeo however paying off negative equity whilst being in a car I wouldn't really want to be in would kill the idea for me

Could you not just refinance the BMW over a longer term? Personal Loan rates are rock bottom at the moment.

You kno what i think your right!i would lose more on the negative equity in dead money than i would would save. it would take me 15 months to make the 3000 back before i start seeing a return in on the downscale at that point i can re evaluate. Or try and sell privately when the settlement comes down in line with a decent used private sale price.

That is what im going to do i need to clear the personal loan i have first tho. I think ive made up my mind what im going to do i really think overall the BMW will not cost much more to keep than buying the mondeo. Especially because the bm will be worth more in say 5 years time when i come to change all the changes.

The other thing to consider is i still have 3 and a half years of my serice pack. The mondehad to be at least 600 quid in servicing over that period aswell
