What mileage are you on?
Mine was a March 14 car (01/03/14) and I've just gone past 35000 miles.
BMW have told me my car is worth the square route of nothing which was nice. Still on its original set of Goodyear's though! Brakes haven't being touched either (pads still have over 6mm on them!), so doing motorway miles does have some benefits! Looking to trade it in before it gets to 40k though as it'll be near unsalable!

I know.
I'm a bit pissed off with BMW too, as my PCP was built around doing 30kpa and I'm still well into negative equity even though I got 20% off list! I'll get some tyres fitted to the front, have it serviced then it can be traded in. It's being a good bus though, averaged 47mpg since collection.

32,300 since 6.3.2014. This is all personal mileage - I'm retired - and I guess that no more than 25% has been motorway. That may be why my mpg is not as good as yours (42-43), and I replaced the Pirellis on the front a month or so ago.

Trouble is, you can get a brand new 335d for £32K (Broadspeed) and prob less if you haggle. Now bear in mind when you trade in nearly all your options are worth next to feck all, this is why trade in isnt great I'd imagine at the moment while prices are like they are.

Who are really feel for are the poor sod's who bought without discount. If I'd done that I'd be nearly £13000 in negative equity!

Not everyone is clued up though. The first offer I had from a dealer was 6.5% off list but the APR offered was 7% and not 3.9%. So essentially there was no discount. Very clever really.

36100 miles I loaded the car with extras and spent lots on mods and knew from the start that the miles would be high, so the plan has always been to keep it a very long time. Once the first few years are past it actually then becomes quite cost-effective motoring. I should pay it off early, in which case I will use as my DD but have a proper sports car for the weekend.

15 June 2015, currently 6000 miles.
Discount on the other side of 25% Little bit of negative, that's due to a really small deposit. We can't complain about current values when we mainly got good deals. It's not like you ever make money on Bogo standard cars. It's crazy how little discount some people accept. When we looked at a Ford Fiesta ST, the salesman offered us £500 of price of car and could not understand why I was a bit disgusted, drive the deal had I think 3k or so off at GTE time. I would only buy a car if getting decent discount. |
