320d E90 turbo

Hi Guys,
I just had my e90 320d turbo failure few days back, diesel mechanics agent wants to charge me R30 000 just for the replacement.

How possible is it that it can be fixed?

It's either replacing the turbo (best, easiest, longest-life solution) or replacing the turbo internals (buying a remanufactured turbo and giving your blown turbo back as part-payment).

One costs less than the other, you just need to figure out if the difference is worth while. Rublos, Rupees, Rands? On mobile, no location lol

That works out to around US$2500, which is probably about what it would cost here in the States. RHD, it's a bit more cramped ...

asked, got told it's got to do with perfomance. Secondly, since oil was running directly to the exhaust due to turbo failure,it needs to cleaned as it might be clogged
