Sounds like fun shit...what exactly do they teach during this clinic? How to drive your car to/at the limit? *counting down until someone says "car control"*

I went two years ago to Bremerton with the CCA and its great fun and a great learning experience. When I was there, the day consisted of breaking up into four randomly selected groups to rotate between four "stations".
- Emergency braking, ABS + accident avoidance basically - Handling oval, a small oval "track" set up using cones that you go around practicing braking and turn-in points - Slalom course - Skidpad, they bring a truck and wet the track surface and you go around trying to slide and catch the slide Instructors are in your car during all these exercises. After those are over, they set up two autocross courses and you can go around as many time as you want but are also free to leave. I think we had at least two hours left to do autocross. The instructors drive their own cars as well and you can go solo or ask one of them to ride along with you. They may have changed things up a bit from when I was there but I doubt it. Its an awesome day and I highly recommend it. I borrowed a helmet from a friend who does rally racing. They won't have that many spares I think.

Do they check the helmets? I don't think mine is "approved" and I don't want to buy one.
