335i xDrive + MPPK Real World MPG

Just wondering what the real world MPG you guys are getting. Gasoline only. With or without MPPK installed.

The reason I ask is because I've been getting consistently low MPG(16-17 average). I have around 2450 miles. I sent the car in for a check up few days ago and was told nothing's wrong with it. I don't drive aggressively or heavy footed. I've tried few different ways of driving but the outcomes are still the same. And the fuel gauge correspond with the readings that I have. And yes, I've reset it a few time. Any ideas? Thanks.

With 435i and mppk I have only 1100 miles but in the city noticing 23 mpg.
I have a heavy foot and zoom away at lights.
What I am trying to do is break it in with lots of highway trips for 30 miles at a time.

Thanks for the info, guys. What mode were you in on highway? Comfort or Eco? Cruise controlled? Thanks.

I kept it in Comfort on the highway, not much cruise control. God do I miss adaptive cruise. Can't use regular cruise in the NorthEast, theres always somebody getting in the way.

Side note, coming back tonight, I only got like 24mpg. The N55 seems to like it just under 70mph. Going right at 70 kills the economy and going way over isn't much better.

Getting my wifes 3GT back today with MPPK installed. I will look at the previous overall MPG (if the flash did not erase it) and then report back in a few days. I think we were averaging 20mpg mostly city with a little fwy. That of course is my wife driving.

I'm probably 60-70% hwy miles, and with ~11K so far the cpu reads 25.7 mpg. My mileage seemed worse during the first couple thousand miles..Even long hwy trips I was getting 23-25 mpg. Now I normally see 28-32 mpg cruising on the highway. I've noticed it varies based on the ambient temperature, with best mileage in the 50-70F range, and worst when it's extremely cold (10-15F or less). Almost all the miles have come in default (comfort) drive mode.

Thanks again for the info, guys. I guess I need to do more highway runs to see if that effects anything.

without MPPK the average per the trip computer so far (never been reset): 18.2 mpg (over ~3,000 mi).

Our mix is mostly city driving which is drags efficiency (~15 mpg) quite a bit (even with ASS on).

Per EfficientDynamics screen 27 - 30 mpg highway is easily feasible (also corroborated by the average increasing on those kinds of trips).

Hmm, was expecting better. Our 15 year old E39 540iT with the V8 and a measly 5 speed automatic averages about 20 MPG. Am I correct that the xdrive eats about 2 mpg?

We're starting to scope out a replacement for the 540iT and the 3 GT is high on the list.
