Is there any way to code the seat to move back when the ignition is turned off and to go to preset 1 on startup???

I have been looking for that option for a long time now. I don't believe it is possible.

I do have a work around. Program the seat memory button 1 with the get in or out of the car setting (seat all the way back). Program seat button 2 with your perfect driving setting (seat positioned the way you like to drive).

Now, open the driver side door with the ignition off. Push button 1 or 2. The seat auto adjusts without having to hold the button!

Once the seat is positioning itself, you may shut the door and turn on the ignition and the seat will continue to adjust. However, if you put the car in gear, the seat stops adjusting.

Sometime if the car has been in the off position for a long time, when you press the button 1 or 2 with the driver side door open, the seat does not move continuously. Press the brake peddle firmly and then press the button once again. It will then auto position. Remember, the key is the driver side door must be opened and the ignition off when you begin to adjust your seat.

Hope this helps.

yes there is, alex@alpine coded this very feature for me...sorry don't know the actual module or code but just wanted to confirm this feature is possible...

seats slides back a few inches at engine shut off, upon returning to vehicle: with door closed and electronics turned on the seat will slide forward the same distance it traveled in reverse...

This isn't the first time you tell me to use search but believe me I have how else did I get here? So either something is wrong with the mobile site or the search sucks but ni matter what keywords I search on.

For example this is the crap the search gives me when I search on force brake flashing:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sea...rchid=41896987

So I don't know what I am doing wrong.

It wasn't directed at you (or at anybody in particular): I just like that smiley.

Anyhow, this one was admittedly tricky, since the title of the thread is not very suggestive: it is easier if you know that BMW calls this feature "Easy Entry".

BTW, did I really tell you to use the search before?

Thx for your help! I just coded it based on that thread and it works. I just have to figure out how I can move the seat further back... But I will continue in that thread.

Next on the list is the force brake flashing coding. I want to enable it at lower speeds and faster meaning at a lower deceleration.

I think you will be able to figure this out if you read the whole thread

Try FEM_BODY > ESS_AKTIVIERUNG_GESCHW (speed) and ESS_AKTIVIERUNG_REALE_VERZ (deceleration).

Figured out how to move the seat further back and tomorrow I will give the force brake flash parameters a try.

There are 3 settings and all three are as I recall it in the SM2(D6) module, there is also a SM2(E6) module but in that module I could not set the value for EINAUSSTIEGSHIELFE to "Modus_FA_SLV".

3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE = "Modus_FA_SLV"
3012 EAH -> EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 28
3012 EAH -> EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 3C

Garage List
The easy entry feature should be something programmed from the factory. Why does BMW cut these features out? Ridic!

3000 SM_GLOBAL -> EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE = "Modus_FA_SLV"
3012 EAH -> EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 28
3012 EAH -> EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS = Werte=00, 3C
By the way with EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS you specify in a hexadecimal value how many milimeters you want the seat to move back, so if you want for example to move back the seat with 5 centimeters then you must set EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS to Werte=00, 32

With EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS you specify how many milimeters of free leg space you want to keep for the passengers sitting on the back seat.

So basically you can set EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS to Werte=00, FF which is then move the seat back with 25.5 cm (imho the maximum) and then play with the EAH_SCHUTSFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SVL_PHYS setting.

This has the advantage that no matter how far your seat is set, that the seat will be moved back the maximum number of milimeters but always respecting the free leg space for the passengers in the back.

And converting hexadecimal to decimal and vice versa can for example be done here:

I guess that the SM2(D6) module is for the driver side and the SM2(E6) for the passengers seat. Can someone confirm this and I would to know if we can enable easy entry/exit for the passengers seat.

To answer my own question I set EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE in the SM2 (6e) module to werte=03 and now the passenger seat also returns to the last position.

I coded these and it isn't working. Looked again and they are set right in SM2 6d. Recoded just to be sure and still not working. I coded other things and they work just fine. Dvd in motion, cameras at any speed, etc. FY16 F82 Ideas???

Is it possible to deactivate or just the passenger seat? BimmerCode doesn’t have an unassigned value option, only active. Any help with the expert coding is appreciated.
