Headlight beam adjustment for driving in Europe outside UK
Hi guys, the 1000mls trip is close, so Im trying to comply with all the regulations across the countries I will drive trough.
Last thing are my headlights. Are the headlights of E92 LCI adaptive? Or do I need to fit eurolites headlamp beam convertor? Thanks |

When I did a recent drive in Europe (German/Belgium/Switzerland) with my Pre-LCI E90 with Xenons, I carried the headlamp beam converter stickers in the boot. But in the limited driving I did at night/dark (Around 100 miles on single lane roads at 9-10 pm), never got flashed once, so I assume the Xenons weren't blinding other road users.

With the number of times I have been across to mainland Europe I have never worried about my xenons and I have driven plenty at night too. Never had a problem with oncoming traffic etc tbh as xenons have a different and very straight light cutoff.

The E92 LCI comes with bi-xenons; these have a flat beam. If your car has adaptive headlights, you should use the non-auto setting on the light switch - this disables the adaptive function. It's all in the handbook. |
