2015 335xi GC Lease.....is this a good offer?

Guys,

EDITED: 435xi GC..F36. Sorry still trying to get used to the new name!

This is the deal I am getting..

2015 435xi GC...Selling Price 64,800 (almost fully loaded...will be ordered)
Dealership offering discount of 6% so $3,888.
Will be taking a 36 month lease on it with no trade-in.

What should I do?? pull the trigger or push for more?

Thanks!!

How flexible are you on the specification? I think there are a couple kicking around the GTA dealers, in stock, so the dealer will be pretty willing to do a deal. Parkview has a BSM with black leather, connected drive and premium.

Town & Country is showing two 2015s and a 2014 in white, also with premium and connected drive. I imagine you'd get an incredible deal on the 2014, probably more than enough to offset the lower residual.

Either way, I'm interested to see how you do in terms of a deal on the GT, since I'm considering one myself.

Edited to change GC to GT. I assume since you wrote 335, you're looking at a Gran Turismo, not a Gran Coupe?

Sorry I meant 435xi Grand Coupe..F36 so only 2015 model avail.

As per the SA they don't have any in stock and I am fixed on AW exterior, premium, connected drive, M performance, and heads-up display.

Current residuals are at 52% and 4.9% rate for 36 months.

I think you might be able to push for more, but it depends how badly you want the car now (or your order placed asap). From my experience, it doesn't really matter to the GTA dealers if they have the cars in stock or not. They've all told me that the discount would roughly be the same regardless of stock.

You should push for more ... either get the dealer to throw in the excess w&t protection for free (about $1200 retail value) or push for more cash discount.

Do look out in February, the Toronto Auto show will have some sort of short term promo by BMW Canada on the typical X1/3 models, 3 and perhaps 4 series.

Interest is too high right now. Assuming by the time you get the car, you are to get the lower of the the signing rate or rate on day of delivery + any incentive offering. Do put this into the contract, don't take verbal promises from the dealer.

thanks crono06 and boblehead..

So I was at the dealership yesterday and got close to 7% off. I was happy with that and put down a deposit. The delivery will be around end of April or beginning of May depending on performance parts availability. SA also agreed to honor any promotion from now till the delivery. I know the SA very well and have dealt with him for many years so I believed him but I will email him today to atleast get him confirm over the email as well.

Also I compared the residuals with BMW USA and there is a huge difference. Their residuals are about 60~62% compared to 52% here in Canada. Why do we get so ripped off??

in case of dispute does arise, email may not hold up in court. Must be in writing on the agreement (for your own sake). Just saying.

By the time you get the car, the residual would have come down and hopefully, the interest rate should come down as well as the car is deemed to be MY2015.5 (end of MY production is early June)

Congrats. Awesome choice. I didn't see the point of the GC at first, but love it now I've seen a few on the road.

On the residual, it's kind of funny because used cars are also cheaper in states.
It's a known fact bmw subsidies lease deals in US.

Must be different mileage or something. What is your monthly payment? How many kms?

Actually the residual is 56%....I don't know why 52% was on my mind.
I am planning to do a 36 months lease with 20k kms. Monthly payment doesn't matter now because the car won't be here till end april or early may and I am still not decided on how much down payment.

i am sure the residual will come down and so should the interest rate by the time you take delivery. There may even be a small factory incentive at that time as the MY2015 is coming to an end.

You don't want the residual to come down, you want it to go up on a lease.

well, not much OP can do. Residual is dictated and controlled by the manuf. and also it's inevitable since MY 2015 is coming to an end, thus the car has depreciated even before it's even made in the factory floor. To combat this, car manuf. always lower their interest rate + offering year end clearance incentive around the spring time and will last thru the fall.

As you know, the residual is high only at the introduction of the new MY and this would be around August 2015 when the MY2016 is first delivered to customers but the interest rate would also be high as well.

I think it looks WAAAAY better. I'd never drive a regular 3 sedan but the GC looks awesome. Love the feel from the drivers seat and the backhatch is great i think. Havent seen one lowered just a little with spacers. THAT would be nice.

Yup. Resid and interest rates are high and discounts are low with new models. Things change as the year goes on but quite often lease poayment doesnt change much. Parkview has 8 new 2014 M235 for sale with a +/- 10% discount off msrp. Interest rate is still high though.

So my CA called to lock me in for the new feb promotions....lease rate is down to 3.9% while keeping residuals steady at 56% for a 3yr term. The deal just got sweeter

The car won't be delivered before end of march so hoping something even better next month.

I haven't decided on how much I want to put down so don't know yet what my end monthly payment will be like. I did got 7% off msrp. Delivery is due in April so I'll have a choice to pick the best promotion till then.
