Hatch opened by itself

GT was sitting on a slightly uneven driveway last night, quite dark and after some heavy rain. I got into the car and started the engine and the rear hatch popped open of its own accord. Whaaaat?! I figured the trunk button on the key fob must have gotten pressed inside my pocket. Took it out of my pocket, closed the trunk and a second later it popped open again. This happened several times. Eventually I reversed a little further back down the driveway and lo and behold, it closed and stayed closed. Weird. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Maybe something was causing the touchless to activate? Do you have Comfort Access? Either that or the water was shorting something out.

I've had mine open several times; after the last time I stopping putting the key fob in my pocket and problem solved.

I tried taking the key out of my pocket but it happened at least three times after that. So sadly that didn't solve the problem for me. Can't help thinking it's something to do with the sensor and the rain at the time and a pretty rough driveway. Haven't raised it with my dealer yet but will post back if they have any useful explanation. Or maybe my most recent coding updates didn't go quite to plan!!
