anybody on here running ebc?
hey everyone seen as its nearly the new year I'm treating the car to another gift..
has anyone on here or does anyone on here use ebc? looking at a set of dimpled & slotted with yellow stuff pads, I know a lot of people on here are quite likely to say oem is fine & I get that however having used ebc before in my old vxr I think they were a massive improvement on oem & although my 320d wagon is not going to break any land speed records I like to stray away from some oem qualities on the hunt for better. has anybody used them or has anyone used the slotted only or both? is there a massive difference in personal opinion between them? thanks for any help. All input is welcome apart from the naysayers you stay away... all joking aside though any comment is welcome! Happy Tuesday folks!! Shaun |

I've had EBC Yellowstuff pads and Ultimax discs on my E90 for the last 3500-4000 miles. They have delt with Alpine descents, decelerations from 140mph on the autobahn, general abuse on local B roads, and normal day to day stuff.
Performance had been fab, much better initial bite compared to OEM even when cold, and more resistant to fade....though hammer them hard enough and the brake pedal will still go soft. I have no problems recommending them, and when time comes round for another change I'll be sticking to EBC. They also don't look half bad, and forum user on here (Mob17), can get them for a unbeatable price |

Ultimax discs are grooved, they are squeak free in day to day use
I paid about £520ish for 4 discs, YellowStuff pads on my E90 335i, which is a unbeatable price. Even my local garage who get supplies from EBC direct couldn't get near that figure. |

Thanks for the review and recommendation Gangzoom. I'm getting what you have fitted on my car soon, can't wait!
Out of interest, what brake fluid and lines are you using? For anyone who wants to buy the discs above, please note they now come with a black coating with silver grooves. EBC have decided to do this, i think as an snti corrosion layer, but i'm not 100% sure. TBH i thought silver looked better, but i'll be getting the black discs anyway! Shaun: send me a pm of your requirements and i'll send you a quote |
