Anyone here have issues with birds attacking your car?
So I pulled into my driveway this morning and parked for a bit while inside. Suddenly, I start hearing little scratching noises, and I see a few of the little bastards going nuts on my trunk and hood. I'm assuming they see a reflection and think it's a rival bird.
Any ideas to stop this? Perhaps a car cover or an owl decoy by the side of the house? I'd really rather not get a car cover because 1) it's a pain in the ass and 2) it's a pain in the ass. |

No, but I have issues with trees
Washed her yesterday and now I need to wash her again today. Don't think there's anything you can do about that DK, unless you parked next to their nest! |

I don't think they are nesting this time of year, but I suppose anything is possible. Might go get an owl and put it right on top of my car- that should be a real hoot! |

Yes! Those little bastards went apeshit on my last BMW, too. They saw their reflections in my window, and they'd stand on the edge of the window trim and shit all over my car while pecking at the glass. It has something to do with a certain time of the year when birds are more territorial. Only solution is a garage or car cover

Maybe a statue of a bird hunter holding a shot gun?
That would freak the neighbors out too, how cool is that. |

Here! This will solve all your problems.
Seriously though. Try a car cover for a week or so. The birds will move on. Last edited by Built My Way; 12-08-2014 at 04:36 AM.. |

They've gone after my wife's car. It sees it's reflection and pecks. I yelled at one one morning haha, stupid birds. I haven't seen any peck marks on my car, it's just the way the come into my yard I guess. There is a family of around 20 that roams around my neighborhood. They sleep in the trees behind my house sometimes too.

Yup- that's the way they come into the yard. I feed the little bastards too during the winter months, so I guess I have myself to blame
