Fuming!
Today the car was booked in to have a possible issue with the coding of the TPMS sorted as they were coming on for no reason. So took the car to the local dealer and handed over the key. As I did (and always do) I said, please DO NOT WASH the car!! When I went to pick the car up they had washed it and WOW!! What a f*cking mess they have made!! Now, I can assure you that these marks were NOT in the car before it went as I am big into detailing and the only person who washes my car is me and it is done properly. 0ppm water, Swissvax mitt, 2 bucket method, microfibre drying towels etc etc. Got the car home and inspected with lights! Gutted. Not sure what to do.
The holograms and light scratches are all over! |

Well I know what I'd do: forget about it and get on with my life, but then my car gets washed when it rains and in between you can't see the scratches due to all the mud and grime. What you can do about it I have no idea sorry
When I were a lad we used to remark that just about anything short of down to metal would buff out with a bit of T-Cut. That may be your solution here. |

Got to admit it does look like they polished it with steel wool, read my second paragraph. But I doubt you'll have much joy getting any recompense from the garage.

I have a detailing company and that is terrible, the only way u will get that out is with a machine polish. If you can feel the scratches then a polish will not get it out

I know it's a bit late now mate but I've got one off these signs for my new car as I've seen this before.
http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/shop/i4...ging-sign.html I always ask for my vehicle to be looked after when at the dealers but it very rarely is and I wonder how many vehicles actually come out as they went in. I actually hate any of my vehicles going near the dealers as I really don't trust them one bit. I have had wheels damaged, scratches left, internal trim touched up with a black marker and broken pieces of trim just left hanging off. Just learnt the other day that my sister had taken her Mini Cooper in to the same dealer and this has come out with serious paint damage on the bonnet. After being spun a right load of crap she is currently dealing directly with BMW customer services. Anyway sorry to see this and I would have gone ape,but it would not have done any good.

This product may help: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Farecla-Prof...cratch+remover It maybe worth visiting a detailer to get the car professionally machined polished, it looks bad but can be fixed easily. I would be inclined to ask the dealer for some assistance. Pablo, crap attempt at trolling, if you don't care or offer limited advice then keep quiet. |

I'd be fuming, I always tell the dealer not to wash it also. I'd call the service manager and complain. You never know you might get something out of it

They will come out with a proper correction but don't see why I should bust my balls to rectify their mess!

Oh yes, he will be getting a right ear full. They left a thank you thing hung from my rear view mirror. Ripped it up and chucked it on the forecourt! Childish but made me feel a bit better lol

TBH I'd be fucking livid if they did that to mine
Before my car was even off the transporter, I told them to not touch it, and they seemed to abide by that. I collected it with the plastic sheeting still on and the interior protection still on. Happy days. I still found swirl marks on the black plastic, meaning someone had touched it. I paid quite a lot of money to get the car detailed, corrected and protected, and so if someone did this to my car, I'd, frankly, want to kill them! I'd get them to pay for a professional detailer to correct it. |

I feel for you mate.
I forgot to ask them not to wash it and similar happened to my car. Thankfully just shallow marks in my wax coat, after a good wash and I was able to simply and relatively quickly add a little more wax and buff them all out. I hope your damage is similarly light. I think they washed my car with a brush or the like.

I wonder how it's that bad, I don't bother with any fancy technique I just used car shampoo and a tea towel lol the tea towel was good and didn't leave any swirlmarks at all |

That is shocking. I would speak to the dealer and show them the marks and explain that they acted against your wishes and see what they offer as a resolution.
