Just built mine and managed to find the right resistor on ebay as well

So bits you will need

(511 Ohm 0.6Watt Resistor)

(ODB Plug)

(CHoose Shielded Connectors to Allow for Brown Wire Connection to ground)

Then finally some Cat6 of Cat5e cable shielded. No link sorry as had a 50M reel to use from

Damn good idea that. And even cheaper from the same bunch on eBay...

I just made one with the plug magic linked to. Used a 560 ohm resistor (had loads) and didn't bother with a shielded cable. Works fine.
