Heater blower noisy
Heater blower very loud and doesn't blow any faster in the car when you put on full speed.
Also the engine has no different tone when aircon on or off and car doesn't seem to keep clear same as the e90 did. |

There used to be a problem with leaves getting into the blower units. This was on the early cars and there was a fix kit the dealer could fit. The give-away was the fan started sounding like there was a paper card in bicycle spokes at faster speeds...
The fan speed thing.. The fan setting when the system is on "auto" just changes the "intensity" at which the temp changes if it needs changing.. it does not necessarily change the fan speed per-se.. so if the cabin is already at the desired temp when you change the setting, the fan speed may not change much..? Does the fan speed up to max when you stick it in "defrost"? If not, then it's a trip to the dealer.....

And I have been finding the car more prone to misting up than the E90. Any suggested solutions beyond putting on the full noisy dimist? |

As far as I can remember what the manual says, on "auto" the fan will be speeded up and slowed down by the system as required, all (as you say) to keep the desired (set) temp... The effect of changing the fan setting on "auto" is to increase or decrease the speed at which the system will try and feed in hot/cold into the mix to help... Basically, a higher setting should mean it adapts more rapidly... This does not necessarily equate to a faster fan speed (although it often does)...
The misting up thing is helped if you have the ac on when in auto, as it dries the air... I noticed that the eco pro ac settings are less able to stop the misting up... Or you could fiddle with the manual settings.... heat and vents used etc... Have some heat going through the up vents, like the old demist settings when we all had sliders and such to control the heater etc...

Seemed worse in auto mode if I remember. Was a problem more with earlier f30 assumed that all later ones came with modified intakes out of the factory. |

Mine had the fix already (it's a Sep 2012 build) - doing it again now, will take it in again. Air-con has also started 'creaking' - which I think a few others reported some time back.
