Off topic: Fifth gear videos on premium fuels test
It's petrol, so maybe of no relevance to most people, but interesting nevertheless. This one is diesel, but a few years old: So maybe they are worth an extended test...

Very simplistic test. On a bog standard 1.6 shopping trolley Asda muck every time. On a performance turbo engine tuned for 98 RON you get significant increase.
And no Tesco momentum? Poor show. |

Not sure about diesel Terry, but petrol BMWs have left the factory set up to perform best on 98RON for many years.
The specs for petrol engines on the website confirm this. |
