Missed options?

What one optional extra do you wish you'd added?

For me it's Active Cruise Control, and I will almost definitely be putting it on my next car.

Yep, ACC is great. For me it is definitely memory seats. Wife and I have totally different positions. The seats are a total pain to adjust.

I would also love memory seats & mirrors, my other half didn't have a license when I ordered the car but now she does & only occasionally drives my car, but it sometimes takes me a whole day to get everything back exactly how it was because the seats are so awkward to adjust, especially whilst driving!

But it's still very hard to justify nearly £1k!

I would say xenons are the number 1 most important extra on an F30/31

I feel your woe as my E90 had halogens aka candles in jam jars! I ended up retro fitting xenons on it.

Is the sliding arm rest just for short people that sit close to the dash?

The 1 series I had this week had it and I couldn't work out the purpose of it!

Surround view would be handy, but it's a shame you also have to have the rear view camera at its full cost of £350, meaning £850 total

seems to be, in test drives I wasn't really paying attention to it and couldn't work out what use it would possibly have while sat in cars in the dealership. Fast forward a year, take mine on a long journey for the first time and find myself looking for somewhere to plonk my elbow.

how are you holding the wheel?

I like having free space, if anything I'd wish the side door compartment was smaller so didn't intrude into your space

electric seats , can never find the 100pc right position

Speed limit display, didnt appreciate how handy it was on my tom tom and probably assumed the pro nav would have this built in!

Also kicking myself that I didnt spec the msport brakes. The performance of the standard brakes isnt an issue for me but the looks are! If the M Sport+ pack was availabe when I was ordering then I would have took it, god knows why it wasnt

I had the opportunity to change my spec as I'm having a new car in two weeks after six months into my current one but to be honest there's nothing I'm really missing hence I went for the exact same spec. The HUD and electric seats would have been nice perhaps but couldn't justify the price tag in fact we share the car with my wife and takes seconds to re-adjust the seat so it's not a big deal. I went for a fairly well specced car previously so I don't feel I missed out on anything.

For me it's memory seats, with the E91 we did not have problems swapping drivers, however for some reason with the F31 it's a pain adjusting.

Probably hud and speed sign thingy.

Xenons should come as standard on the 320 and above, it's pretty disgraceful tbh.

I rarely use cruise so while I would like ACC, it's not a firm future option.

Contentiously a 335i Tourer.

That's why I didn't bother. Speed limit display the amount we drive in Europe should have been a no brainer.

Hi, if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to retro fit and could you do it yourself.

Why would the sliding armrest make a difference with short arms? Surely you'd need a raising armrest?

The short guy in the US wants to know too.

I've driven my brothers M4 with the sliding armrest and it's a must have (for a short guy).
