When I built the car, I refused to pay £xxhundreds for the interior trim options, and went for a 'zero' cost option. So I have the burred alloy look with piano black thin-trim. This was with the intention of wrapping the alloy part with a new colour. I like the piano black bit.

So I have attached piccies for reference - red leather interior, black leather dash and the usual brushed alloy finish around dials and gear lever etc.

I ONLY want to refinish the burred alloy finish. Ideally, I don't really want a gloss finish wrap, as it easily scratches, especially on application. I considered red, but it would have to match the leather exactly, but I think could be over the top...?

A leather re-trim could be an option, but I don't have any reputable contacts for such a job. Any suggestions would be welcome in the West Midlands

Not sure about the Midlands but down South a re-trim is about £1600 + Vat for "off the shelf" leather and around £2000 + vat for BMW original individual (opal white etc). Still thinking about it...
