Test drive in M4 this weekend coming

So i have only had my 330d m sport since may, great car, i like it a lot, but i just have to have a drive in the new M car, if its as good as I have read and the figures are not too scary I will just have to get 1.

Not sure if i prefer M4 or M3, I dont need 4 doors, but i just like the 3 series shape, but i havent seen an M3 or M4 in the flesh yet.

anyway, im pretty excited

They're both awesome! I went M4...start saying goodbye to your 330d...you'll be sold on the new M cars!

I drove 2 m3's recently and are awesome cars in my opinion .
Only issue i have at the moment is the depreciation which is happening by the day !
I am waiting till post xmas to see where prices are .
Money no object i would have 1 tomorrow. Very impressed overall with the package. Coming from Nissan GTR

I've got a lowly 320d F31 Xdrive with a few ACS enhances. My track car is in hibernation for winter whilst F31 does family duties.

I don't know how long I will keep her but an M4 is on the books.

I have already specced the car for road and occasional track use but not colour.

I too have noticed big depreciation figures so in 2015-2016 maybe a time to see where and how fast they reduce in value.

I'd like to see a special or some other colour and wheel options.

I had also considered the new RS6 and RS4 although the new S4 gets a good review.

I would have gone 911 C2S but missus doen't like the cramped feel. Another contender is the a V10 R8 although as an everyday proposition the M4 is the better of the two.

What depreciation figures are we looking at? The car has not been out long enough to know for sure other than a prediction surely?

There is a fair few on autotrader at about £5k-£6k off list as a rough estimate, some with very low miles also, i presume that is what people are talking about, but that looks about right as they are essentially 2nd hand.

My own findings are nearer the £8-9k mark depreciation mark already, with very little mileage.

I asked bmw dealer to bid me on a 14 plate m3 with 1000 miles on the clock and the price was £43k !
The market has been flooded with dealer launch demo cars and all have identical spec and are 3 months old . The lowest car has sold for £49k on autotrader so far and by Christmas the 64 plate demo cars will be coming up for sale and the 14 plate cars that have not sold will be discounted .

Bmw FINANCE WILL NOT do a pcp without GFV as they need to protect customer from negative equity and realise the depreciation is very strong !

Deimos,
If you can hold your water, i think you are sensible in holding off until next year, as the prices really are tumbling. Im glad i didnt jump in right at the beginning, and am waiting until next year also, but it is very hard, because, as you will find out, the M4/3 is just a fantastic car. Anyway, more importantly, and im really interested in this, where in Aberdeenshire will you be going for your test drive ?, you have some of the best driving roads up there, and i get up there as often as i can, up round Royal Deeside, Ballater etc. Please tell me you will be going over the Lecht, and onto Grantown On Spey ?, what a road that is, perfect for the M4, regards, SIMON.

I totally agree the car is fabulous and i really want to get into 1 now.
I watch the price come down weekly it started at £59.999 a month ago and now was afjusted today to £53999.
I am so tempted to jump in and make an offer but i know it makes sense to wait till post Christmas.
Funny how you drive a car and have an affinity with it . It feels like it should be yours and i will be gutted if it sells but that is the risk i take

If you can afford it do man, you could be a death bed tomorrow saying, I should of got the M3. If it makes you feel better, I approve your purchase. You can't put a price on a smile and pleasure, unless its a hooker.

My arrangement has nothing to do with BMW finance or a PCP.

Gavinsan is this the car you are talking about?

http://usedcars.knightsnorthstaffsbm...cmdc=se_ce_re_

This is the one I viewed a couple of weeks ago and is now done to £53,350. It's pretty much within my price range, only issue I have is that it has nothing in terms of options on it, but does have the service pack included. With only 12 miles on it though compared to over 2000 miles with some of the ex demo 64 plates priced at £58K it is very tempting.

Matt just looked at the spec and there are no real options over and above standard so i would say wait . This is a poverty spec car and will be lower value as a result. You can get a better spec dealer launch carv with heads up and arm rest and adaptive headlights etc for that money
