Persistent Power Steering Leak After Flush

My brother-in-law is almost done doing a major service on my E92 M3 but we are having problems with the power steering fluid leaking after reassembly. We got the correct crush washers from the dealer and after tightening the banjo bolt as much as he can it still leaks. We have taken it apart and reassembled it with the original ones which helped and this was the best but it still has a slow leak and a leak is a leak. Any suggestions on what to do? It is very frustrating

What is leaking? The lines leading to the rack or the lines leading to the reservoir? I believe there's a specific torque for those. If you tighten too much you could crack the line.

Ohh. It is leaking at the crush washers.

It's 30ft lbs for the e46. Did you make sure to use two washers for each bolt? Also check the lines to make sure the old washers aren't stuck on them or the rack.

Yes. We used two new washers and the old ones were off. We put back the old ones and it leaked less but it still dripped. We compared the new and the old and the sizing seems identical. It's really weird.

I'm pretty sure just one connection is leaking and it has two washers. I texted my brother in law to confirm. I'll get back when I know more.

Yes. I confirmed two washers per bolt. He thinks it's the lower connection that is leaking.
