2015 Models where do you keep your key?

Right now I keep it in the cup holder along with my phone but my car is a 2015 and didn't come with the fillers to put the key in, there is a little center compartment under the AC/heat unit that opens and closes but I was wondering if 2015 models have an actual place to keep the keys.

I keep my key in my pocket - I've already locked my key in the car with engine running

I saw a discussion involving this question in another thread and I wondered why it was a question at all. My 2012 MINI Cooper MCS has comfort access and no key start and the key never leaves my pocket. I'm confused about why anyone would take it out of their pocket. Maybe I'm missing something here.

Some of us aren't fortunate enough to have comfort access. Mines usually in the cup holder or in the gap of the thigh support adjuster.

Cant you use your pocket after you open the door, or are the skinny jeans preventing that?

I'm getting more certain that I'm missing something. Even without comfort access, why wouldn't the key remain in your pocket? You approach the car, press the remote button to unlock it, put the key back in your pocket and start the car, right? Why does it seem to have to be somewhere in the car? I would definitely forget it in the car.

+1....no need for comfort access IMO

Unlock car, put key in pocket, sit in car, hit start and go

I usually unlock my car from a distance anyway and would continue to do so with comfort access.

Maybe I'm missing something also. What prevents you from starting the car without having the key In some weird place in the car? Maybe try putting it under the front seat or trunk and see if that's more convenient than your pocket?

I will try all of these once I get my car to see which is best.
