BMW assist/connected drive/ BMW online problems

Anyone else have issues with there In car connected drive stuff? I still don't really understand the difference and relationship of these services but bunch of stuff I had a few days ago seems to be gone from the cars menu. Call BMW assist and they report some ongoing network issues. I could see that causing some problems but some things like accessing the bmw lap timer from my plugged in Iphone? There is no longer a menu option for apps?? Seems like they would be unrelated.

I just got my car re-coded by the dealer to North Amercan spec today. Since I did ED, when the car was re-delivered to me, it was still coded to EU specs.

Now Navigation and speed limit info work but I cannot connect to any of the Connected Drive features . Maybe it is only the network issue you mention...

Yup, I have issues since this morning. BMW Online couldn't connect. Then this afternoon, BMW Online option went away.

Anyone know a solution to this. Just noticed the features missing from my car too. Called bmw genius, they told me to bring it in to the dealer.

There was an over the air update and you should be able to get your services now with Updated information.
It happened to me last night and this morning I have a new split screen Weather set up with a Big digital clock on the top and the 3 day weather on the bottom, plus online services is working now.

Where are you located?

Yesterday when i called the genius hotline, i had an option listed to update but was greyed out so i couldnt select it, now this morning its gone.

I went to the connected drive website this afternoon and found a number for their troubleshooting hotline. I was told they were updating their servers and were having some issues on their end which they are working on.

I had all the weather widgets and connected drive store, etc... Before, but its all gone for me now.

Are u able to connect to bmw connected drive from laptop, clicking on login/registration takes to country and then nothing happens

When I connected to the remote apps it says I need to activate remote services at the portal and I can't connect there
