Power steering and brake failure - no fault codes

Was driving my 2011 335i down a hill when I noticed the steering become stiff, followed by the brakes so it looked like the power steering failed. The gas also failed at this time. I pulled over and later tried to push the ignition button which led to the car starting up again (even though I thought it was still on). Since then everything has worked fine.

Took it into the dealer (under CPO warranty) and all they couldn't find any fault codes so they were acting like it never happened or maybe I pushed the ignition button off accidentally. I thought this myself, but I tested pushing the button off while driving and the AC goes off, however when this originally happened the AC was on the whole time so that theory is nullified. It's also worth noting that when this happened my power level was low per the BMW telephone technician although it never got low enough for a warning symbol to appear.

Any suggestions/advice? I've read up on other forums that maybe it's the drive belt that failed? The dealer inspected the drive belt condition as ok per the standard checklist sheet but maybe I should ask them to test it more thoroughly? It's hard to figure out the problem since the car has been working fine since. Thanks.

For whatever reason, the engine stalled. Without the engine turning, you have no power steering and after an initial push, no brake assist. As the electrical power was still on, the blower motor kept running. Unfortunate that it did not set any codes. Hopefully it will either never happen again, or it gets worse and sets some codes.

Hmmm, surprised nobody else has had this occur... Thanks for the insight though.
