No, there is more than one size of sparkplug. Commonly used are 5/8" and 13/16". The M3 uses the smaller size (5/8"). I recommend getting one with a magnetic plug holder built-in to the socket for our deep cylinder heads. You will also benefit from several lengths of socket extensions and a u-joint as well.

Thanks for the help to all. I brought a spark plug socket online 14mm 12 point thin wall. Come to find out this is for the turbo 6 banger and not the S65 V8. I will be performing the change out job this weekend. I am going to use information I found in this forum.
