MY2015 Bluetooth capabilities
Hi all,
Can anyone confirm if the MY2015 2's can stream BT music, google nav, phone, etc just with the standard non-"enhanced" bluetooth? I didn't order with tech or premium pkg but can still edit if needed What does the "enhanced" version add anyway? Thanks! |

I didn't order Tech nor Nav package, however got the enhanced bluetooth feature so I can stream my music via bluetooth (LG G3 is my device). If you only care about using the phone for calls via bluetooth then it's standard, no need to pay for enhanced feature.

Correct. I have neither enhanced bt nor tech and can stream music with standard bt. And good tip on this read - I've assigned a preset for Bluetooth streaming

You're not gonna need it. What I use most is my iPod with the Y cable to play all my music but my phone works too. Either one is fine

I ordered my Y cable on Amazon. It works amazing and was really cheap, they make them for the iPhone 5s and 6 now so you don't need to buy the light ting adapter with ur. Just the Y cable and you can control your music through Idrive

This still leaves the OP's other question unanswered and I have been looking for an answer to it too. Exactly what is the $500 Enhanced option, what does it do and why would you need it if music streaming is standard on 2015's?

If no one can find the answer than I guess the $500 enhanced option really isn't wirth it
