DPF removal first then remap after

So, I can get my DPF removed this week. but the remap not till week or so later. I am already getting the DPF warning anyway so not worried about the car telling me something is wrong with DPF but is it ok to drive the car with no DPF and no remap for a bit?

has no one tried just a DPF removal then.
