Airbag deployed: what is needed in total?
Obviously airbag and module but do I need a new clockspring or do any programming?
I didn't see the seat belts retracted but would I be able to see these if they did shrink to restrain as they do? I posted in parts section but I need all these things if anyone has any. |

Any panel that the bag destroyed! I'm not sure about the belts, but it should be pretty obvious if the pre-tensioner was ignited in the accident. The pre-tensioners are on the buckle. I have heard they always go if the airbags do, but cannot confirm that.

Here is what you need in total.
Air bag.... No clock spring. BMW airbags come as a complete unit. No modules. Seat belt buckel only.... The female. Not the belt or extractor. Then call a programmer to erase the Airbag light. Light reset should only be when car is put back together, started and works fine. Ohhhh..... You need a new battery cable also.... If this was a collision which caused the airbag deployment. Dealer only. If you get it from an auto wrecker, the battery cable or seatbelt, then it must be from a vehicle where no air bag was deployed at all. DN |
