Coilovers during the winter
Hey guys so it's almost that time of the year when I switch to my 17" winter tire setup however I just put kw v1 coilovers so I am going from a 18" summer setup. I know that I when I switch to the winter setup I will raise the suspension a little but how much should I raise it? We get quite a bit of snow in CT and it's my daily driver so I don't want to be plowing the snow lol. Right now with my summer setup I have about a finger gap between the tire and the fender. Would like to hear what you guys do for your winter setup for people that have to deal with snow.
Thanks, Yiannis

I also run a 17" setup in the winter, and never raised my eibach coils, which were on lowest setting. I never had a problem.
Btw I had very little fender gap, I since removed the coils and went with a different suspension, but I was ok last winter, and it was a brutal one, I'm sure u know.

I ran coils on my old mk3 Golf and in the winters I would raise it back to stock. Eventually I got lazy and would just keep it at my summer height (it wasn't slammed/hella flush like most modded VWs).
