FS: Megan Racing Axle Back E92 M3

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 450.00

Item Interest
Hi guys I am selling my Megan Racing Axle Back Exhaust which has Burnt Rolled Tips. Description from Megan's website is here: http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...=1310&catid=16 . I would recommend getting new clamps for the connecting pipes as well. It was on my M3 for only about 6,000 miles. Retail for the exhaust is $748. I am selling it for $450, local pick-up only.

Please email me at nerwyll@trinityautosport.com

Thank you!

nothing is wrong with the exhaust, I just went back to completely stock exhaust and going a different direction with the car. clamps can be bought from a local parts store/napa also.

Well, first of all, that video also has test pipes, so you may not want to use that for representation as it's actually quite a bit more rough sounding than just the Megan axel-back on it's own.

Secondly, I truly don't mean to give you a hard time, but seriously, l think you're asking too much. If you want to sell this thing, it's only worth maybe $350. You can get this exhaust brand new on eBay right now for $598 shipped.

I guess hopefully the community thinks it's more valuable. Good luck with the sale.

Seriously? I added the video. Not the seller. I've had the exhaust with and without test pipes and it doesn't sound rougher? With cats, it's deeper in bass. Without cats it's a little more euro sounding. I wouldn't say it sounds rougher at all.

They typically sell for 400 used so 450 is hardly out of line in my opinion. Most of us are paying for sound. If exhausts were priced on sound, this would be a 4k exhaust. Not to loud. Not to quiet. Almost zero drone with stock cats. Zero drone with test pipes. You can't beat it for the bang for buck value.

I know he didn't post the video and please don't take offense, these are just my opinions, ultimately they don't matter to anyone that disagrees.. I do agree it's the best bang for buck system. I guess rougher was the wrong word, maybe "raw-er" with a little more volume, does that make more sense? It's hard to describe such a subjective thing. Anyway, it can be easy for some people to miss added specs in videos and posting a video with the secondary cats in place would probably expand his potential buyers pool quite a bit since it would be a little quieter/mellower.

It's all just my opinion, but he did post a "retail" price $150 higher than the going rate so his asking price compared a little more favorable. As a community member and potential buyer, I find that practice misleading. I hope it works out for all parties.

retail price is based off of Megan's website.

Stainless steel tips retail for $660 http://www.meganracing.com/product_d...sp?prodid=1047

Burnt roll tips actually retail for $778 http://www.meganracing.com/product.a...=1299&catid=16

Also, highest priced used Megan I found when I searched before I posted the thread was $500 so naturally I priced mine lower.

exhaust is pending sale for local pick up this week, if there are any changes I will post it. thanks everyone for your interests.
