Offset Range M235i

Hi all,

Sorry I tried looking this up, but couldn't quite find a range of wheel offsets that would fit on the M235i.

I understand the OEM's are 47mm in the front, and 52 mm in the rear.

Thanks

Fronts are not 47mm. They are 45. Here are specs:

02 Light alloy rim 7,5JX18 ET:45
02 Light alloy rim 8JX18 ET:52

So far the most "aggressive" I've seen is 8.5 ET35 | 9.5 ET45.

8.5 ET45 (Front) - looks to require a 5mm spacer for suspensions clearance

Can you clarify what you mean by aggressive for 8.5 ET35?

I ask because you had quoted me the 8.5 ET35 setup for my vehicle and am not sure if it's going to be pushing a limit or if I need a spacer from the above...

Below are a few examples of 8.5 ET35 | 9.5 ET45..

I personally don't believe it's too aggressive, however, if there isn't any negative camber or if you decided you want to go with a meatier tire setup.. you may see some wheel poke. From what I can see 8.5 ET35 w/225s and 9.5 ET45 w/245s seem to be a safe bet.

If you want to run 235s (F), 8.5 ET40 would a good choice or 8.5 ET35+some negative camber.
If you want 255/265 (R), 9.5 ET50 would be choice or 9.5 ET45+some negative camber. ^^ These should get you to just about flush w/no wheel poke

I was looking at 8.5 ET35 + 225s for a winter setup with you.

Don't know if it's just me but your instagram pics can't be viewed.

Aspec on ebay has a set of CSL reps that are 18x8 +38F and 18x9 +40R that I have my eye on. Just not sure about using one inch stagger when I really want a square 245 setup that will rub.

Yes, as long as you keep the rolling diameter (F & R) as close to stock as possible.

There are various forms of "staggered", generally speaking square vs staggered will be referred as:

Square

- Same width all around ( F and R )
- Ability to rotate tires in traditional manner
- Front wheel/tire setup may sit more "flush" in comparison to the rear

Staggered

- With BMWs, most examples will include smaller width FRONT and larger width REAR
- Ability to run larger rear tire. Provides aggressive/wide/flush look (subjective)

^ Each will also have their own pros/cons in terms of handling/performance

Can someone confirm it this would fit on my M235i?

8J ET30 on all 4 corners, 19" wheels.
Stock tire dimensions (225/35R19 and 245/30R19) lowered on ST XA coilovers.

Thank you in advance.

That offset appears to be way too low to fit without heavily modifying the suspension....and even then.
